West Northumberland has put together an impressive team of 17
community representatives consisting of physicians, town council
members, the chamber of commerce, various community agencies and
hospital administration to discuss:
- Physician recruitment needs (a growing population with a large catchment area);
- Physician recruitment & retention challenges and opportunities (a chance to collaboratively bring in family physicians);
- Relationship building with community partners, government agencies and implementing innovative recruitment and selection practices;
- Create and pursue a multi-faceted marketing campaign for physician recruitment & retention;
- Build community awareness and support for recruitment initiatives.
